The Northern Essex Community College baseball teams historic season came to close on Monday evening when they dropped a 5-1 final to the World Series’ top ranked team Caldwell Tech.
A day after having their 33 game winning streak was snapped the Northern Essex Community College baseball team bounced back and hung on for 4-3 win in an elimination game over second ranked RCSJ-Gloucester to move on in the tournament.
For the eighth time in program history the Northern Essex Community College baseball team is headed to the NJCAA World Series. The Knights were the second team to punch their ticket to the eight team tournament scheduled to begin May 28th in Greeneville, TN.
For the first time since the 2018 season the Northern Essex Community College baseball team is back on top of Region 21. The championship victory was the Knights 39th of the season to just two losses and give the program its ninth overall Regional Championship. The Northern Essex Community College baseball team picked up their 29th straight victory on Thursday night in the opening round of the Region 21 Tournament with a 12-1 victory over Community College of Rhode Island.
