Haverhill, MA (December 9, 2025) – The Northern Essex Community College women's basketball held the nationally ranked CCRI women's basketball team close for three quarters before the visitors pulled away in the fourth quarter on Tuesday evening by 71-49 final. The loss dropped the Knights to 4-8 on the season.

NECC trailed by one after the first quester and trailed 32-27 at the half.

Shaneley Henriquez (Haverhill) was the games high scorer as she recorded a career high 22 points. She was joined in double digits by Rhaelyn Gutierrez (Methuen) who recorded 14 points of her own.

Rebecca Heathman (Billerica) grabbed 11 rebounds in the contest.

The Knights will close out the first half of the season with a pair of road games beginning with a trip to Massasoit on Saturday.
