Four in double figures propel Knights over Springfield Tech
Four scorers in double figures pushed the Northern Essex Community College men’s basketball team past Springfield Tech by an 88-67 final as the Knights won their eighth consecutive game and ran their record to 10-2 on the season and 7-1 in conference play. The win was 39th consecutive on the Sport and Fitness Center court.
Haverhill, MA (December 3, 2024) – Four scorers in double figures pushed the Northern Essex Community College men's basketball team past Springfield Tech by an 88-67 final as the Knights won their eighth consecutive game and ran their record to 10-2 on the season and 7-1 in conference play. The win was 39th consecutive on the Sport and Fitness Center court.
Christian Sanders (Boston) and Alejandro Delgado (Haverhill) both tossed in a game high 19 points and were joined in double figures by Karl Wolfgang (Douala, CM) who scored 17 points off the bench and Ryan Pacy (Salem, NH) who had 15 of his own.
NECC jumped out to a 16-point halftime at 42-26.
Wolfgang grabbed 12 rebounds for his second straight double-double, while Yuno Matsuda (Tokyo, JP) dished out seven assists and grabbed three steals.
The Knights hit the road for two straight games starting on Thursday as they travel to Bartley Center on the campus of Holyoke Community College to take on the Cougars at 8:00pm
